![]() Naturopathic IridologyNaturopathic Iridology is a diagnostic tool that allows the practitioner to assess the irides (the coloured part of the eye) for the potential for dis-ease to manifest. The information gathered during this assessment is used in conjunction with the client's own medical history to compile the prescription. The assessment is conducted with the use of a loupe (a magnifying glass with a light attachment). The procedure is painless and takes just a few moments, usually no more than five minutes. The information gathered can identify the types of conditions the client will have the potential to manifest. For instance, the iris may suggest a sluggish lymphatic system or a smaller than average digestive system. The latter may be contributing to the client experiencing slow digestive transit or acid reflux. An Iridology assessment is not the same as identifying a labelled medical condition. For example The Iridologist will not tell you it is gout you are suffering but would be able to identify problems with joints and poor kidney function. The advise that follows an assessment includes information on diet/foods, supplements and lifestyle, and will focus on the ailments you currently display and those that are likely to manifest. Often one is the progression of the other so to help with the current symptoms will lessen the potential for another to manifest. What is Naturopathic Iridology? With the aid of a magnifying glass and light, the practitioner looks at the iris (the coloured part of the eye) and assesses it for signs. It allows the practitioner to assess the body systems for levels of energy, poor function, the body's acid/alkaline balance and much more. The majority of the signs have been present in the irides before birth. When the body is given a trigger then ill health manifests. We should not consider ourselves to have a "good" or "bad" iris; we should view this as knowing how best to look after our physical body. When we have this knowledge we have the ability to ensure we look after ourselves by making the right choices for us as an individual. ![]() Who can expect to benefit?
